The proposed analysis also accounts for the fact that long adjectives cannot be coordinated: if a long adjective is distributed over a stretch of structure that is not a constituent, the unavailability of coordination follows naturally. I will mention here one potential problem that involves left branch extraction of adjectives. If the above view that long adjectives are not constituents is correct, then we do not expect them to be able to move.
